Behind the Scenes - Bmore Speaks

Today I had the opportunity to interview with Morgan and Polytechnic Alum, as well as long time friend, Krishana Davis, for her upcoming website, Bmore Speaks. We discussed many matters such as, personal life, pageantry, and my future endeavors. The production was done by Morgan State Senior, Brian Waters, who majors in TV Production.
We had an awesome time on set and didn't even realized so much time passed by. Take a look at some of the behind the scenes photos as well as screen shots I stole from Brian's computer! :)

The Indique Experience

No matter where I go, I am always asked about my hair. Therefore I thought it would be an awesome idea to tell you all about the gorgeous hair that I wear! It's called Indique. Indique is worn by many celebrities from Laurieanne Gibson, LaLa Anthony, Cassie, Ciara, Chrissy Lampkin, Vanessa Simmons, Porsha Stewart and the list goes on!

I was introduced to Indique by one of my best friends; her hair always looked great and it would last forever. I did some research and inquired sponsorship from Indique for my upcoming pageant, Miss District of Columbia USA 2013. I waited to install the hair the Thursday before my weekend competition and let me just say, it made me feel glamorous all weekend and required little to no maintenance. P.S. It is now February and my hair still feels and looks like it did the second it was installed! Make the investment ladies, it is well worth it!

A New Beginning - I am Miss Maryland United States 2013

                                        

February 2nd marks the day that I was crowned queen. Never in a million years would I think I would have the honor of being a state title holder; I am too humbled.

Being crowned Miss Maryland United States is just the beginning of my success. I have been competing for two years now and preparation for pageantry has molded me into the person that I am today. I am more polished and professional than ever and I plan to use these skills in moving forward with my professional endeavors.

 Now that I am Miss Maryland, it is my duty to represent this beautiful state of Maryland well, and that is what I plan to do. My platform is youth mentor-ship with a focus on inner city youth. During my year reign I will be in the community encouraging people, young and old, to always push forward and to reach for their dreams. I am firm believer that hard work pays off; look at me, I am living proof.
